Steps to Raise a Wrong Item Claim on Meesho 

If you’re a seller on Meesho and you've received a wrong return (e.g., damaged item, different product, empty box, or used product), you can raise a claim with Meesho for a return or refund.

Follow these steps to raise a request regarding the delivery of an incorrect product from Meesho:

Step 1: Log in to the Meesho Supplier Panel

  • Go to the Meesho Supplier Panel
  • Log in with an OTP using your registered mobile number.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Returns’ Tab

  • Go to the dashboard and click on ‘Returns’ from the side menu.
  • Locate the return order where you've received the wrong or damaged item.

Step 3. Click on ‘Raise Issue’ / ‘Dispute Return’

  • Right next to the relevant order, click on ‘Raise Issue’ or ‘Dispute Return’ (the exact wording may vary).
  • A claim window will appear, where you can select the relevant type of issue.

Step 4. Select the Reason for Claim

  • To return a claim on Meesho, choose the appropriate reason from:
  • Wrong product returned
  • Empty box
  • Used/old product
  • Damaged product
  • Quantity mismatch, etc.

Step 5. Upload Evidence

This is the most important part:

  • Upload clear photos/videos of the item that you have received.
  • Show the product’s packaging, label, and details.
  • Clearly show the Order ID and mention the issue details.

Step 6. Submit the Claim

  • Review all details carefully and submit the claim.
  • You’ll receive a Ticket ID for tracking the status.
  • Meesho usually reviews the claim within 7–10 business days.
  • You may receive updates on your registered Email ID or in the ‘Tickets’ section.

Tips to Avoid Claim Rejection

  • While opening return parcels, always ensure to record a video.
  • Ensure to raise the claim within the allowed time frame (usually 48-72 hours) after the delivery of the product.
  • Provide clear and honest evidence (photos and videos).

What is Meesho's Return Policy?

Meesho’s return policy clearly states that the customer is allowed to return the product within 7 days from the date of delivery. 

You can return a product if it is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered. The product should be unused and in the original packaging with all the necessary tags. 

Meesho offers different tools to track and manage order history, all return and RTO (return to origin) fees, get orders, and more. 

If a customer is dissatisfied with the product and returns it, the seller is charged a significant return shipping amount, which depends on the weight of the product. 

If an order is not delivered to the customer, the seller does not have to pay any additional shipping fees.   

If a customer cancels the order before the delivery, Meesho will not charge sellers any additional fees. 

In some exceptional cases, Meesho can cancel the return shipping fees. 

Why do Claims Get Rejected on Meesho?

Here are the possible common reasons why Meesho cancels your claim: 

Packaging and Return Issues: Meesho may reject the claim if the returning reason does not match the condition of the product or the product is missing any component that was originally attached to the product. 

Policy Violation: Meesho owns the right to reject your claim if it does not comply with Meesho’s refund and return policies. 

Bank or Platform Downtime: Your claim request can be affected by temporary bank server issues or some technical glitches/issues within the app.
